Emma LeSueur serves as Operations Manager at Big Country Veterans, where she oversees daily logistics for veteran engagement events and ongoing programming. Working closely with the Chief Operations Officer, she manages program leads, coordinates scheduling and resource allocation, and ensures smooth administrative and financial operations while supporting donor relations and the organization's strategic growth.
A graduate of Texas Christian University's Neeley School of Business with a degree in Business Management, Emma brings diverse experience spanning nonprofit and private sectors. Her background includes work with marine consulting firms, healthcare startups, and manufacturing companies, where she has conducted field research, led market strategy projects, and supported operational planning. Her areas of expertise include logistical coordination, stakeholder communication, and strategic planning.
Emma's passion for serving veterans stems from deep respect for their sacrifices and the challenges they face transitioning to civilian life. A pivotal moment came during a BCV couples retreat, where she witnessed veterans and their spouses bonding over shared experiences while working with horses, reinforcing her commitment to helping veterans feel understood and cared for. She believes BCV's success is rooted in values like trust, integrity, and community, and envisions the organization expanding its reach while maintaining personal connections with each veteran served.
Outside of BCV, Emma is an accomplished equestrian competitor who has won buckles in speed events at state and interstate levels. She's also passionate about wake surfing and coaching beginners, finding gratification in helping others build confidence on the water. Her volunteer work includes the Patterned Speed Horse Association and Soulumination, a nonprofit providing legacy photography for families facing life-threatening conditions.
Emma's unique background includes earning an associate degree from the Ocean Research College Academy, where she conducted independent research on marine vessels through National Science Foundation grants, and serving as VP of TCU's Wake Club while driving surf boats in college. Her love of travel and commitment to trying new experiences reflect the same spirit of growth and connection she brings to her work supporting veterans and their families.
